Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Public Realm andamp; Civils team in Manchester. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering cost and commercial management across a variety of high-profile infrastructure and regeneration projects. Working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to influence project outcomes from inception to completion, ensuring value, compliance, and client satisfaction throughout.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing the full commercial lifecycle of public realm and civils projects.
*

Preparing cost estimates, cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
*

Supporting procurement processes and managing contract negotiations.
*

Monitoring budgets, valuations, and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
*

Leading on contract administration and reporting, including cost/value reconciliations.
*

Working closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery.
*

Contributing to risk management, forecasting, and final account settlements.
*

Ensuring all projects adhere to legal and quality standards.

What you will need to succeed:

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
*

Minimum 3-5 years' post-qualification experience, ideally within consultancy or civils sectors.
*

Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
*

Proven experience working on public realm, highways, or infrastructure projects.
*

Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
*

High attention to detail and commercial awareness.
*

Chartered status (MRICS) is desirable but not essential.
