Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in design and fit-out projects to join their Manchester office. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, working closely with the project management and design teams to ensure costs align with project requirements and client expectations.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing detailed cost estimates for design and fit-out projects.

Analyzing tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate costings.
*

Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
*

Managing the preparation and submission of tenders for projects.
*

Working closely with project managers and design teams to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
*

Monitoring project costs throughout the design and fit-out process, ensuring compliance with the budget.
*

Providing cost advice and support to clients and internal teams.
*

Reviewing and negotiating costs with suppliers and subcontractors.
*

Ensuring all estimates are submitted in line with company standards and deadlines.

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience as an Estimator in the design and fit-out or construction industry.
*

Strong knowledge of estimating software and tools.
*

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate costings.
*

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
*

Strong communication and negotiation skills.
*

A degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
*

Experience in managing multiple tenders and estimates simultaneously.
*

A proactive and team-oriented approach to work.
*

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to identify cost-effective solutions.
