Your new role
Our client is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on high-profile projects in the Bournemouth region. The role offers a structured progression route and the opportunity to work across a variety of civils, Mandamp;E, and infrastructure schemes for major clients.

Responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Quantity Surveying team with the commercial management of ongoing contracts.
*

Assisting with the preparation and submission of monthly valuations and cost reports.
*

Helping manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and variation orders.
*

Maintaining accurate records of site progress and financial performance.
*

Working closely with operational teams to monitor budgets, forecast costs, and control risk.
*

Assisting in the negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
*

Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and internal commercial procedures.

What you will need to succeed:

*

Experience working with either a main contractor or specialist subcontractor on infrastructure or construction projects.
*

A strong understanding of commercial processes in a contracting environment.
*

Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
*

Familiarity with NEC and/or JCT forms of contract is desirable.
*

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
*

A positive, team-oriented approach with a desire to learn and grow.
*

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or working towards it (preferred but not essential).
